PART 2 - LIGHTING SECRETS UNLOCKED 🔓 STUDIO LIGHTING is one of the most intimidating things to learn in photography. But once you establish a base understanding of the technicality, and what equipment is necessary to achieve the look you want, your power is endless ⚡️
Building off part 1, here are a few tips more I’ve picked up along the way:
1. KEEP IT SIMPLE. Use the least amount of lights necessary when you start. It might be tempting to use as many lights as you can to create a “cool” looking set, but it’s important to master simple set ups first before you move on to the big stuff. 💆♂️
2. LET YOUR TASTE DRIVE YOU when coming up with new ideas for lighting. Don’t let trendy lighting setups take over the bulk of your work. Instead, pay attention to what you gravitate towards. This is the key to longevity ❤️
3. Knowing how to MAXIMIZE the use of your modifiers is much more important than owning the highest quality, most expensive lights on the market. Resourcefulness is key �...
