Bunker Hill has changed so much in the last 80 years that it’s hard to picture the Victorian mansions that once sat atop the rising slope that today is home to downtown L.A.’s skyscrapers. Artist Leo Politi painted many of the original Bunker Hill street scenes, capturing this lost part of L.A. history.
