I discovered visual art in High School while attending interlochenarts . I attended on a vocal scholarship - but had no money for food and books- so I got a job modeling for the sculpture class. The teacher Gene was remarkable. So intelligent and articulate, that as I held my poses I broke the cardinal rule and began to ask her questions. She humored me and would answer them. Finally after a few months she told me to get off the podium and join the class. We started with marble carving and clay.. but I drew in my free time.
