Today, we’re excited to share our conversation with special effects supervisor Dominic Tuohy (THE BATMAN, 1917, EDGE OF TOMORROW) on the latest episode of the Team Deakins Podcast. Returning to our work on 1917, Dom shares how he and his team timed the flares above the ruined French village during Schofield’s escape and how they generally prepared for the technically complex scene. We also question Dom about his work on RISE OF THE SKYWALKER, and we learn how he and his team sent real (and cold) waves of water crashing down over actors Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver in their climactic lightsaber duel.
