“Empowerment on the East River” brought together community leaders, athletes, and activists to celebrate progress and spark conversations about the future of racial equity, while also showcasing the collective power of individuals dedicated to creating a more just and inclusive society. The event featured a fireside conversation with: BPC President, Earl Edwards, Jr. (earledwardsjr), BPC Vice President, Jeremy Ebobisse (kingjebo), Executive Director Emeritus, Justin Morrow (justmorrow), and last but not least Soccer icon Crystal Dunn (cdunn19), who among her many honors is an Olympic gold medalist and World Cup champion with the U.S. Women’s National Team in addition to her role on the board of the Black Women’s Player Collective (BWPC // blackwplayercollective).
