Every week, the Okayplayer crew highlights music that we just can’t get enough of for our series, In Rotation. This week we’re focusing on ‘Anyway I Can’ by elmiene. 💿🔂
Last month, Oxford singer-songwriter Elmiene released his latest project, ‘Anyway I Can.’ In just 8 songs, Elmiene displays a vocal range that is bound to stop anyone in their tracks. While the lyrics in all of his songs showcase his willingness to be vulnerable, tracks like “Light Work,” “Sweetness,” and “Crystal Tears” show how he’s able to mold his message around any tempo.
The 23-year-old first grabbed the attention of many during the pandemic with a very impressive cover of D’Angelo’s classic, “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” that quickly went viral. Years later, the young talent is still proving we’re only seeing (and hearing) the tip of the iceberg.
‘Anyway I Can’ is out now, put this album up next in your rotation. 🎧
