Monarch butterflies urgently need help! 🦋 Threatened by insecticides, climate change, and loss of milkweed due to herbicides and sprawl — their populations have faced drastic decline. We petitioned the USFWS to list monarchs as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. The Service agreed that these pollinators deserve protection — but instead of granting it, the agency put the butterfly on a waiting list.
