Greenfield's hospital full reopens Monday, nearly six months after it was rendered unusable when a fatal EF4 tornado tore through town.
The Adair County Health System's windows were blown out and boarded up from the powerful storm May 21. The cars in the parking lot were severely damaged.
It needed an overhaul to make it safe and usable for the town of just about 2,000 people. Since the tornado tore through, the hospital has been out of service and, until August, was operating out of the Nodaway Valley Elementary School in Greenfield.
