The seed for ubusiness professor Wayne Johnson’s research into the dynamics surrounding the acceptance of novel ideas was planted during his days as a usarmy combat engineer in Afghanistan. His job was to detect and disarm IEDs along roadways. The average success rate was 1-to-1 (for every IED detected and disarmed, there’d be one that went off). Johnson’s new, or novel, approach of walking the streets looking for IEDs as opposed to staying in the armored vehicle increased the success rate to 23-to-1. 🇺🇸 Read more about Prof. Johnson and his research at the LINK in our bio
