After investigating former USMNT striker Taylor Twellman for being involved in an alleged physical altercation at work, MLS has cleared him and let him return as commentator.
Twellman, who famously went on a “What are we doing!?” rant when the USMNT failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, now works for Apple TV after leaving ESPN.
While commentating Inter Miami and Atlanta United’s game 1 of their playoff series, Twellman was accused of making physical contact with an audio engineer, who was working with Program Productions— a Miami-based production house brought in to assist with the match.
Twellman then worked in game 2 of that series, but was removed for game 3 in Miami last weekend.
There is no video of the altercation. Aside of Twellman, the audio engineer he allegedly made physical contact with, and the play-by-play commentator Jake Zivin, there was only one other person present in the booth when the alteration allegedly happened.
