SSAPs include academic advisors, admissions specialists, student life counselors, financial aid officers and others who provide support and services to students and faculty of the UC system. Approximately 4,900 SSAPs statewide reached the majority support needed to form the union, which they hope will allow workers to have a larger say over working conditions and improve their ability to serve the UC community.
