Syracuse narrowly defeated Youngstown State 104-95 in double overtime. J.J. Starling and Eddie Lampkin Jr. combined for 58 points as SU improved to 3-0.⁠ ⁠ SU's offense was stalled to begin the contest, shooting a measly 35.3% in the first half while making just one three-pointer. The Orange led for just 25 seconds in the opening frame and trailed by seven at the break.⁠ ⁠ The Orange's offense improved in the second half, but the Penguins answered as the teams went to overtime.
