Happy Birthday to one of the greatest musicians of our era therealmarcusmiller ! Bassist, producer , composer to greats like Miles Davis. I met Marcus in LA at a music club called R&B Live during one of the sessions organised by trichemon Ramon Hervey II the famed entertainment manager / publicist and hammondentertainment Bill Hammond. Everyone played there ; Stevie , Prince.. and it was only by invite! The hottest ticket in LA! This was shot at Capital Studios in Hollywood whilst he was recording his solo album ‘The Sun Dont Lie ‘ where Miles also recorded. To my surprise, the great Joe Sample was putting down a piano part when I got there at midnight to see Marcus so I ended up shooting Joe too! This print still proudly hangs in my office.
