Today in Hip-Hop — MF DOOM released his fifth studio album, ‘MM..FOOD.’
2004 was an exceptional year for MF DOOM. On March 23 he and Madlib linked up to drop their collaborative album, ‘Madvillainy.’ And as if that project wasn’t enough of a masterpiece, months later DOOM returned with more heat to deliver on November 16 with his solo release, ‘MM..FOOD.’
The 15-track album was meant to be a concept album “about the things you find on a picnic, or at a picnic table.’ It was almost entirely produced by DOOM himself, outside of “Kon Queso” by PNS, “Potholderz” by Count Bass D, and “One Beer” by Madlib—which was initially meant to be on the year’s earlier release, ‘Madvillainy.’
