McDonald’s Indonesia is making impactful strides against our global ambitions to operate more sustainably, guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In partnership with development licensee partner PT Rekso Nasional Food, the Indonesia market has achieved meaningful #progress, including: 🥤 Reducing the use of single-use plastic #packaging and made the transition to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper packaging, curtailing the use of plastic straws and replacing them with sealer lids for takeaway, drive-thru and delivery drinks. 🌏 Converting used cooking oil into a #renewableenergy source (biodiesel) that has been certified by the government, helping to prevent environmental pollution. ⚡️ Using LED lighting in all (!) McDonald’s Indonesia restaurants to conserve #energy. 🚛 Implementing efficiency measures on raw material delivery routes from suppliers to restaurants to help reduce #carbonemissions.
