The Collegian is hiring a Sports Editor! This position in on-campus with a mix of in-person and remote work requirements. It requires 10 hours of work a week and is paid hourly at $15/hour. This position is eligible for CSU Work Study. The Sports Editor is responsible for co-managing the Collegian sports desk alongside a second sports editor. They will jointly be responsible for assigning reporters to cover sporting events, write athlete profiles and write sports op-eds. The sports editor is also responsible for editing desk content and aiding in the production of each article through thorough communication with managing editors, copy editors and photographers. This is only a single position with shadowing and training responsibilities at the end of the fall semester before formal employment happens.
