#ArtCarArtist Esther Mahlangu’s retrospective is now open 🌈 ‘Then I Knew I Was Good at Painting: Esther Mahlangu, A Retrospective’ opened today at the Wits Art Museum in Johannesburg, South Africa. Known for the vibrant geometric patterns from her Ndebele heritage, Mahlangu’s work has been exhibited at some of the most prestigious institutions worldwide. Included in the retrospective is Mahlangu’s #BMWArtCar, the 1991 BMW 525i, which broke barriers as the first #ArtCar signed by a female artist.
