Last week I found out Jakes cataracts are caused by Progressive Retinal Atrophy which has no cure. Today he went on a five mile hike. It wasn’t easy and a challenge in its own way. Last week I was heart broken. Today I’m better. But still haven’t fully accepted the news yet. For the last five months I have watched him slowly loose his sight.
