An 88-year-old dog walker was dragged to her death in Moscow after a roller skater got caught in her dog's leash. Two elderly women were strolling through a city park, walking their pet dogs—one of which was on a long leash—when a 56-year-old roller skater raced past them. He got caught in the leash, pulling one of the women off her feet and dragging her along the path. Prosecutors told the court that the victim suffered severe head injuries when she hit the paved path and died later in the hospital.
