A Light That Never Goes Out. It’s been like this all tournament. Where is everyone watching the Morocco game? Through word of mouth, we were nudged to go to Beirut Espresso in Massachussets and Dar Yemma in Queens. Without fail, a legion of Moroccan fans packed both spots, turning a random Wednesday into what felt like a national holiday. The fans — young and old — held on to hope that their lions could slay yet another giant, and they were tantalizingly close to pulling off another upset. While their tournament didn’t end with a ticket to the Final, it was surely one for the ages. They’d already made history, and they still had every reason to celebrate last night.
