FIRST OF THE SEASON: The freshman boys basketball team played its second game of the season at home on Tuesday night and won 52-30 over the Marble Falls Mustangs. Though it was the team’s second game of the season, it was their first win after losing to Hays last week.
Freshman Kevin Gallas believes the win is important for the team leading up to future district games and tournaments.
“We got a win, so now we have our confidence up for our tournament on Thursday,” Gallas said. “I think we’re gonna do great.”
Before the game the team was feeling good and excited to get out on the court.
“We were confident because we wanted to get a win, and we wanted to play really energetically,” Gallas said.
Gallas thinks that during the game, the team played well but could’ve improved some aspects.
“We played really good defense, and we ran our offense well,” Gallas said, “but we could’ve had better passes to teammates.”
