So that’s its. The 2024 rogueinvitational in the rear view. Not my best work, but I’m fortunate that at this point of my career Im still able to count my “bad weekends” on one hand. It felt just as hard to come in tenth out there this year as first last year. The field is stacked and it takes nothing less than a full effort just to stand out there. When you’re struggling they aren’t the funnest weekends to compete in, and I know they’re hard to watch for my family and support team who have to watch me struggle and are unable to help. But these weekends can be useful and humbling if you let them be. Like I’ve said a few times over this series; That’s how sports works. If you’re gonna play on the good days you gotta play on the bad days, and pray for more sun than rain. This weekend was an opportunity for me to shift my focus away from outcomes; to think about what kind of behavior I can model.
