We asked Castlemaine Secondary College students what their favourite part of the Blue EDGE program was, and we’d have to agree. 🚁💙⚡ Last week, students from Castlemaine Secondary College were awarded a special visit from Air Wing, PORT and Castlemaine Uniform for their ‘Police in Uniform Day’. The Blue EDGE program is designed to educate, develop, grow and empower young people in Years 7 to 9. Led by specialist facilitators, the program is delivered across 16 sessions of 90 minutes duration with police and emergency services participating in each session. Workshops focus on skills like emotional regulation, confidence building, safe decision making, and community connections. For the Blue Edge students - made up of a mixture of young people identified as vulnerable, or at risk of disengaging, who display leadership qualities – the program is an opportunity to shape positive behaviours and a positive mind-set towards their future.
