Join us as we revisit unforgettable performances and celebrate the legacy of the legendary bowl game.  The 1965 Orange Bowl between #1 Alabama and #5 Texas was a game of dramatic moments, including a wild sequence where Texas’ field goal attempt was blocked, recovered by Alabama, then fumbled back to Texas. Texas ultimately secured a 21-17 victory in what became Joe Namath’s final game with Alabama before signing with the NY Jets the next day. Despite the loss, Alabama was named co-national champions with Arkansas, cementing their legacy in college football history. From its inception in 1935, the Orange Bowl has been a driving force in college football, shaping the sport and impacting communities. More than just a game.
