Una’s journey from orphaned calf to resilient survivor is a story of hope and determination. 🌊
Rescued from the Ortega River in 2003, she received life-saving care at SeaWorld Orlando before being released at Blue Spring State Park in 2006. 💙
But life in the wild presented new challenges—Una returned to the park in 2013 tangled in fishing line, a dangerous and recurring threat. After multiple encounters, rescuers finally freed her and her calf, Mr. Baby, in 2016. Today, Una’s story reminds us of the impact human debris has on marine life and the vital role of rescue and rehabilitation efforts. Let’s protect these gentle giants and keep their waters safe. 🌱
