A so-called “doomsday fish” just washed up on a Southern California beach. It’s an oarfish — which is extremely rare. And yet, this is the second one to wash up in SoCal since August. Researchers believe these fish have surfaces due to changes in ocean conditions and increased numbers of oarfish off the coast.
