On November 21, 2000, erykahbadu released her second studio album, ‘Mama’s Gun.’
Following the successful release of her debut ‘Baduizm’ and the paired Live album, Erykah Badu returned three years later with yet another notable project that dug deeper into funk and jazz influenced R&B. It featured singles like “Cleva,” “Didn’t Cha Know?” and her first Billboard Top 10 hit, “Bag Lady.”
‘Mama’s Gun’ included production and instrumentation from fellow Soulquarians members James Poyser, Questlove, and J Dilla. As well as production and a feature from Stephen Marley on “In Love With You.”
