Stop and stare for a moment to observe a mama Florida panther leading her two kittens. 😺😺😺✨ These animals once roamed much of the U.S. Southeast, but now they cling to existence in just a sliver of their original home — and that tiny territory is threatened by developers working to pave it over. The development would put strip malls and homes in the heart of the panthers' range, ripping up more than 4,400 acres of their habitat. It also would significantly increase traffic on roadways that already kill panthers and other rare species. #Panthers need every inch of their remaining habitat in southwest Florida to survive and one day recover.
