**SOUND ON** On average a fire will double in size in every 45-60 seconds. This is exactly why speed and proficiency of firefighters is so vital to the expectation of being referred to as a professional. The following unedited video of the first 2:30 seconds of an incident yesterday demonstrates the high standards of proficiency and professionalism our community deserves and expects from their Richmond firefighters. Just before 10:30am yesterday members from E64, T64, E66 and E68 were called to the 1400 block of Richmond St in El Cerrito to assist with a residential structure fire. E64 arrived first at scene in approximately 2 minutes after the initial incident dispatch, and had water on the main fire in 1 min. 8 sec.(1:08) after the engine air brake was set.
