You never dream about writing your goodbye post when you commit, sign, or even get to your college for the first time. While this is not my official goodbye post (got something up my sleeves for y’all coming soon), my 5th and final year of college volleyball ended this past weekend. My last year gave me the opportunity to remember why I play this game. Not for the accolades, stats, personal glory, clout, procrastination of the real world. I play for the glory of my sovereign God and to have such a platform to display the gifts He has blessed me with. I play to honor the sacrifices of my parents and the fact I could count on one hand the amount of games they missed in my 5 seasons. I play for my coaching and support staff and their ability to lift me when I cannot lift myself. Most importantly, I play for every girl I have shared a locker room with. I’m horrid at expressing my love for them and they know it so hopefully the public demonstration of that tells them what they really mean...
