Things I Wish I Knew During My Freshman Year of D1 Volleyball: 🧽 Be a sponge: the hardest part of freshman year is adjusting to all the next expectations and experiences in front of you. EMBRACE the fact that you might not know what you're doing and don't be afraid to ask for help 😱 Youre not the only one: if you're going away from home for the first time ever you're not the only one! If you're struggling with the workouts or the new system you're not the only one! If you're worried about playing time or making good relationships you're the the not only (and it's probably not just freshman worried about it ;) 👯‍♀️ You haven't met everyone who will love you: as student athletes we spend sooo much time with our team and there's so much emphasis put on being a family. If you haven't felt like you found all your best friends on the team that's OKAY!!! See if you can make friends with other student athletes or classmates!
