Intimate Partner Violence: Between 21% and 55% of AAPI women report experiencing physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime.
Sexual Violence: Approximately 23% of AAPI women have faced some form of contact sexual violence, with 10% experiencing completed or attempted rape.
Stalking: About 8% of AAPI women have been victims of stalking in their lifetime.
These statistics highlight the critical need for culturally sensitive support services. Barriers such as cultural stigmas, language challenges, and immigration concerns often prevent AAPI women from seeking help.
