Opposition Leader Mark Golding condemns what he calls racial remarks made at the JLP's annual conference Sunday, calling it a "desperate" political tactic.
Speaking at the PNP's West Kings House Road office, Golding expressed disappointment in the JLP leadership for tolerating such rhetoric.
"I think that the JLP's attempts to use my colour as a political battering ram smacks of desperation on their part. It is unprecedented, I dont think that any other political leader has faced what I have been facing, and this is because they see that the tide is turning against them, the dishonesty, the lack of integrity and the govt pursues policies that don't benefit the people in a direct way," Golding said.
"I am flattered that all they can really attack me on is the color of my skin" he added. He later went on to say he was disappointed in the JLPs leadership allowing two members of parliament to be using racial taunts and slurs as a source of attacking a political opponent.
