**NEWS** Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is a very important part of Volleyball BC and something that is a big part of our new Strategic Plan. We’re excited to partner once again with ubckin for their Interculturalism, Health and Physical Activity course. Under our DEI strategy, the students focused on ‘Support Communities’ and ‘Remove Barriers’. We wanted to understand ways in which as an organization, we can be more inclusive and accessible to diverse populations. The students examined the following: Accessibility, Indigenous Participaction, Sitting Volleyball and Newcomers. VBC’s DEI Vision is to empower our community to remove barriers to participation and to be welcoming to all participants. Under this vision we have four areas of focus: Increase Capacity, Supportive Pathways, Support Communities and Remove Barriers.
