After spending some time in two different wildlife hospitals across the state, the pair of orphaned river otter pups rescued earlier this summer were released into the wild over the weekend. The two female infant otters first made headlines in June after a state park ranger found them, lethargic and dehydrated, in a ditch along the road at The Cove Palisades State Park. From there, they were rescued and relocated to Think Wild, a Bend-based wildlife hospital, before moving northwest to the Wildlife Center of the North Coast in Astoria.
