Today, we are celebrating the 2024 Educator Innovation Award winners: Umi Nadiroh Kudori (Indonesia), Keren-happuch Garba (Nigeria), Eduardo Ezequiel Soria (Argentina), Dr. Pratibha Singh (India), Caroline Chiu (United States), and the team of Rebecca Maynard, Emily Rathmell, and Katie Lee Mansfield (United States). These educators empowered students to explore climate issues and share their perspectives through the Ocean Awareness Contest, themed “Tell Your Climate Story.”
From Umi’s climate-change curriculum in Indonesia to Keren-happuch’s advocacy workshops in Nigeria and Caroline’s interdisciplinary art projects in the U.S., these teachers harnessed the Contest’s power to inspire action though art. Eduardo led collaborative projects in Argentina, Dr. Singh integrated conservation activities in India, and the Framingham High School team created large-scale, community-wide climate art installations.
