šŸŒŠšŸ’” On Sumbul Beach, the Medewi Beach crew cleared over 1,300 lbs of debris, including a massive ghost net! Ghost nets are fishing gear made from non-biodegradable materials like nylon. These nets can drift for decades, trapping marine life, damaging coral reefs, and polluting ecosystems. Every year, ghost nets are responsible for trapping hundreds of thousands of marine animals, from turtles to whales. They make up a staggering 46% of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. This ghost net will be recycled into our 4ocean bracelets and made by our Bali Artisans! šŸŒšŸ’™ #GhostNets #OceanFacts #MarineConservation #BeachCleanUp #SaveOurSeas #SustainableFishing
