Syracuse defeated Cornell 82-72, bouncing back from its losses to Texas and Texas Tech. Though the Orange fell behind by 12 early, freshmen Donnie Freeman and Elijah Moore — who combined for 42 points — put SU ahead 39-28 at halftime.⁠ ⁠ Cornell cut its deficit to four in the final minutes, but a Lucas Taylor block followed by Moore’s fifth 3-pointer helped secure SU’s fourth-straight win at the JMA Wireless Dome.
