The ceremony unveiled a portrait of Air Force Sgt. Sabu Dastagir. Dastagir was an Indian American actor who starred in movies during the 1930s and 1940s, including Rudyard Kipling’s β€œThe Jungle Book” and β€œThe Thief of Baghdad.” He became an American citizen in 1944 and enlisted in the Army Air Forces during World War II. Anoushka reflected on the event, saying, β€œSgt. Sabu Dastagir was a man who embodied great courage and sacrifice in his service to our country. His service on B-24 Liberator bombers after his beginnings in India reminds us that bravery knows no borders.” πŸ” Discover the impact of our cadets' visit and Sgt. Dastagir’s legacy at link in bio. #AirForceHeroes #AirForceArt #MilitaryHistory #ServiceBeforeSelf #LeadersofCharacter
