FALLING SHORT
Earlier tonight, the freshman Knights lost their game to the LBJ Jaguars by a score of 45 to 37.
Kevin Gallas scored 13 points, Tobias Jackson-Woods earned 6 points, and Ben Cowles scored 5 points.
Gallas said r he Knights started slow offensively, seeing as though they only scoring six points in the first quarter.
“We weren’t ready,” Gallas said. “We didn’t have enough energy and they out-hustled us. They got steals and just kept scoring.”
Gallas said the team had positives throughout the game.
“We moved the ball well offensively,” Gallas said. “We got open shots and our intensity picked up.”
However, the team has room for improvement going into their next game, according to Gallas.
“We need to be better on defense,” Gallas said. “We need to get into help defense faster and work behind our teammates.”
The Knights play next at Taylor on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
