Our Faculty Feature of the Week is Dr. McGever! He is the author of several books, including his most recent, Ownership: The Evangelical Legacy of Slavery in Edwards, Wesley, and Whitefield. Prior to that, he wrote Evangelism: For the Care of Souls, which was named the 2024 Outreach Magazine Resource of the Year for Evangelism. In 2023, Dr. McGever was recognized as the Honors College Professor of the Year and had the unique honor of being the “game day professor” at one of the GCU Men’s Basketball games. Currently, Dr. McGever teaches Honors Christian Worldview. He believes the best way to learn is by teaching others and often discovers new insights through his students and lecture preparation. His goal is for his students to experience a transformation of both mind and heart through God’s grace.
