**Meet Cancer Survivor Dane!** Dane is a cancer survivor - he’s 6 years cancer free! He had Hepatoblastoma (peds liver cancer) when he was a 1 year old. He was treated at Duke and had surgery to remove the tumor along with his gall bladder and 60% of his liver. He had 2 rounds of chemo following that. He had years of speech and feeding therapy and still goes for his annual scans and bloodwork - but to see him today you’d never guess all that he’s been through. He’s our little hero! Dane started playing hockey in July with the First Goal program and has absolutely fallen in love with hockey. He’s now finishing up Lil Canes 2 and super excited to be on a team in the spring. He does Lil Canes 2 at both the Raleigh location on Saturdays and the Cary location on Sundays. WE FIGHT FOR DANE! 💜 #youthHockeyFightsCancer
