In celebration of the 2024 #NWSLChampionship, WSF and National Partner Delta hosted a special Athlete Ambassador Program (AAP) event at umkcinkansascity for girls from WinforKC and the local community. Girls were joined by Sr. Director of Strategy at NWSL Carlin Hudson, U.S. Air Force Col. Vanessa Mahan, and UMKC Head Women’s Soccer Coach Jess Smith, who shared messages about the important skills girls can gain from playing sports. Attendees then joined members of the kcrooswsoccer team out on the pitch for a special soccer clinic.
