KNIGHTS TRIUMPH: The JV boys basketball team beat the LBJ Jaguars 72-32, on Tuesday night. The Knights led by 15 at the end of one quarter and extended that lead to 19 points at halftime. By the end of the third quarter, the Knight lead had ballooned to 26 points. The offense stayed pretty consistent throughout the game. The Knights scored 22 points in the first quarter, 17 in the second, 26 in the third and 17 in the fourth. Junior Miller Stephens said despite LBJ’s athleticism, McCallum was able to defend against the Jags. “They were athletic and strong, but it wasn’t hard to guard them,” Stephens said. Stephens said the team can rebound a lot better than it did Tuesday night. “That game specifically we really just need to focus on rebounds,” Stephens said. “Their team is very tall and athletic so it’s hard to get rebounds, but we do need to work on that.” Stephens expressed his expectations for the season ahead in simple terms. “We’re looking forward to winning and winning d...
