It was a rather wet homecoming on Saturday as alumni flocked to Kent State to watch the Golden Flashes take on Eastern Michigan, marking the beginning of conference play. The Eagles of Eastern Michigan scored the first points of the day off of a 4 Yard run by Jackson-Anderson. With 30 seconds left in the First Quarter Ayden Harris ran it into the endzone for the Flashes to make it 7-7. The teams continued trading Touchdowns in the Second Quarter, first with a 27 Yard run by Delbert Mimms for EMU and then with a 43 Yard pass from Ulatowski to Floriea for the Flashes. Eastern Michigan ended the half with another carry by Jackson-Anderson to put the Eagles up 21-14. The Flashes came out of the break fired up and put another 7 on the board off of a 65 Yard pass to Chrishon McCray to tie the game back up.
