Over the past few months, their work has blossomed into a powerful example of how creativity, collaboration, and innovation can intersect to tackle environmental challenges. From delivering presentations at Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven to harvesting Japanese knotweed for prototyping, MycoKnot is transforming invasive plants into sustainable materials—and bringing their community along for the journey.
Progress is in full swing: a 100-square-foot area of land has been cleared, 50 pounds of knotweed is ready for processing, and all materials for a geodesic dome structure are prepped for construction.
