“One of the benefits of the recordings is the ability for students to review course content, particularly before midterms and finals,” said Oliver O’Reilly, vice provost for undergraduate education, in an email. “The availability of the recordings can also help to discourage students who are ill from attending in-person lectures and accommodate students who need to miss class for bereavement or family emergencies.”
Course Capture is serviced and supported by campus’s Research, Teaching, & Learning services, which runs campus technologies and manages platforms such as bCourses, Kaltura and Gradescope, according to its 2024 annual review.
