On Human Rights Day 2024, we reflect on the ongoing struggles faced by Syrians and the people in the Rukban camp, in particular. For years, Syrians in Rukban have endured the siege imposed by Assad, Iran, and Russia, leading to unimaginable suffering. However, with the recent changes and the fall of the Assad regime, there is hope for a brighter future. The residents of Rukban are finally poised to reclaim their rights. During such times, organizations such as SETF have been at the forefront, providing essential support and advocating for access to human rights in the camp.
