Ending the year on a very high note. I will be honest, until yesterday, I had forgotten that I submitted photos to this year’s World Sports Photography contest. It is always exciting to throw your hat in the ring and show off your work along side some of the best photographers in the world. I’m happy to announce that I was selected as a finalist again this year, but in the Rugby category. I have been so grateful for the access I have gotten in the last year between the sport and to the rugby photographers who have helped me along the way. Two years ago, when I was selected as a finalist for the first time in this competition, I did it to get out of my comfort zone. This year felt different. I was excited to submit my work and felt like I belonged. I’m still in the early stages of my sports photography journey, but know that there is something big waiting for me just around the corner.
