Deputies received a call for service reporting a male observed possibly tampering with mailboxes. Upon arrival, a male standing alongside a damaged mailbox, matching the suspect description, was detained. A search of the male resulted in the recovery of a fixed blade knife, approximately 8 inches in length. He was ultimately arrested for possession of a dirk or dagger, and attempt mail theft, and booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
